Frances Williams Berry, 91, of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday, May 10, at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City.

Frances was born in South Boston, VA, the daughter of the late William Henry Williams and Ethel Britton Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Russell Berry, her granddaughter, Lisa McMurray, and three brothers, W. T. Williams, Raymond Williams and Alton Williams. She retired from J. P. Stevens and was a member of East 10th Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Faye B. Neville and her husband, L. S. “Bud”, of Rock Hill, SC, and Jean B. Bridges and her husband, Wayne, of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren, Johnny Bridges and his wife, Gay, of Roanoke Rapids, Lori Newsome of Nags Head and Susan Deas and her husband, Larry, of Rock Hill, SC; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Minister Dave Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
